Men's footwear retailer Allen Edmonds Shoe Corp. has introduced a new store concept that pays homage to the company's base in Wisconsin. Owner Caleres Inc. (NYSE: CAL) announced the new store opened March 30 on Newbury Street in Boston. The city is a significant market for Port Washington-based Allen Edmonds, the announcement says, because Newbury is one of the original locations where the merchant opened a store. 'We have history with this city and chose this as a place to celebrate the brand and our community with this physical incarnation of our American heritage luxury positioning,' Allen Edmonds general manager David Law said.
